What benefits can I claim?

There is no single list that applies to everyone. What you can claim depends on where you live in the UK, your age, your income, your health, and who you live with. This page organises the main routes by circumstance. Official government pages remain the source of truth.

Benefit Badger re-checks official sources every night. We do not decide claims, and you do not need an account to run a check. We currently publish 42 benefit guides.

It usually takes about 5 minutes. You do not need to create an account. This is guidance, not a government decision.

How do I know if I am entitled to benefits?

No website can confirm entitlement. Only the relevant department can do that. A structured check still helps you see which official pages to read and which claims to start. Citizens Advice organises the same question by circumstance; we do too, with current devolved benefits and a date on each guide showing when we last verified the official source.

If this describes you

Benefits at 60, 65, 66 or 67

Most pension-age benefits start at State Pension age, currently 66, not at 60. These pages spell that out rather than repeating a slogan.

Where you live

Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland do not always use the same benefit as England. PIP, Attendance Allowance, Carer’s Allowance, DLA for children, Healthy Start and Council Tax Reduction all have devolved counterparts or replacements.

What this check cannot do

It cannot tell a department to pay you. It cannot replace advice from a regulated adviser if your situation is complex, for example immigration conditions or an ongoing appeal. It never invents phone numbers or application URLs. How we source and verify pages is explained in the editorial policy.
