Help with bills if you get benefits

Last reviewed: 16 October 2026.

Claiming what you are entitled to is the biggest step. These guides cover the smaller ones that can make the money go further: cheaper phone and broadband, cheaper travel, help with energy and water bills, and free advice if you are behind.

Each guide starts with the official and free routes. Where a page includes a link to a company that pays us a commission, it is labelled “Ad” and comes after the neutral information. Nothing on these pages is chosen from your answers to the eligibility check.
