How to claim

  1. Apply on mygov.scot. Child Disability Payment is the Scottish replacement for DLA for children. Do not send a DLA pack if the child lives in Scotland. Official page
  2. Explain care and mobility compared with other children the same age. Social Security Scotland’s form is built around a typical day and night, not a diagnosis checklist.
  3. Upload or post the evidence they list. The official page says what helps. You should not pay a third party for a government form.
  4. Use redetermination if you disagree. The decision letter explains how to ask Social Security Scotland to look again before an appeal.
